As part of a remote reconnaissance system for patrolling in terrain that cannot be covered effectively by human personnel, Lucian developed the first telepresence system for use on a dog. The total system allowed for the remote command of a team of dogs by a team of human handlers in a command vehicle or facility that is outside the active patrol area. Utilizing airborne imaging and communication systems along with special stabilized camera systems, a variety of remote missions can be performed without the presence of a human handler. Much of this project remains classified.
